Fresh start for Delfood SA: a permit done right

Delfood SA, the logistics arm of the Louis Delhaize Group, entrusted us with a strategic transition project: relocating its distribution centre to a new site in Wangenies.
A project that requires more than a pallet truck and cardboard boxes: it needed a single permit, a BDES exemption, and a solid dose of administrative rigour.
Change of address for better delivery
Delfood had been operating a warehouse in Charleroi, rue de l'Espérance. But with a lease expiring in December 2026, it was time to plan ahead. The choice fell on the Wangenies site, well known to logistics professionals: the former logistics centre of Match supermarkets.
An existing, well-located site with strong potential… but one that required regulatory compliance work to allow Delfood to redeploy its operations there.
Our mission? Guiding Delfood from A to Z through its regularisation and relaunch process
Drafting the single permit application file
- Environmental section
- Urban planning section (with support from a surveyor for the plans)
BDES exemption request
Including a full risk assessment
Infiltration tests
Administrative follow-up
Delfood can now look forward to its future centre with confidence. Thanks to our expertise, the permit is secured, the analyses are complete, and compliance is on track. A logistics project that doesn’t lack… common sense!
