Integrated Soil Management
Preserving soil quality within your real estate and industrial development projects.

Soil is not an inert material. It is a precious resource that provides essential economic, social, and ecological functions for our ecosystems, and it is extremely complex to restore once degraded.
Development projects exert increasing pressure on soils, exposing them to various threats: pollution, erosion, compaction, and artificialization. Regional authorities have implemented tools and measures to assess and preserve their quality.
ABV Development helps its clients integrate soil preservation issues from the design stage of their projects, by conducting the necessary assessments and proposing adapted recommendations.

Regional soil quality assessment tools
In Brussels, Brussels Environment has developed the Good Soil strategy. As part of this initiative, the IQSB-PRO is a tool for professionals who wish to integrate soil quality into their project design. It allows for the evaluation of soil quality through laboratory tests and analyses.
In Wallonia, the Walloon Soil Quality Index (IQSW) is a tool for diagnosing soil quality, designed to guide land use in line with its current state. Its main objective is to improve the "soil" component of environmental impact assessments (EIAs) or environmental impact reports (EIRs).
