Triggers vary by region. In Wallonia, the study is generally required before a real estate transaction, when applying for a permit, or when a polluting activity ceases. In the Flemish Region, it is notably required when selling a high-risk plot of land (risicogrond) or applying for an omgevingsvergunning. In Brussels, any land use requires a technical report, regardless of the volume. A study can also be voluntarily initiated as part of a project feasibility assessment.

Yes. ABV Development is accredited in Wallonia, Brussels, and Flanders for conducting soil studies and assisting with associated administrative procedures. In the Flemish Region, our teams act as Type 1 experts for OBOs and technical reports (Technisch Verslag).
