Climate change introduces new risks that must be considered when planning a new activity or making significant investments.

The consequences of climate change are now visible worldwide: an increase in severe weather events and floods, a rise in drought phenomena, and heightened risks of extreme climatic events in particularly exposed regions. Beyond threatening human safety and infrastructure integrity, these developments can affect soil fertility, limit access to resources, and disrupt economic activities.

Specializing in environmental issues, ABV Development has developed expertise in Climate Impact Assessment (CIA) and Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (CRVA). Our teams support project developers internationally, in areas particularly exposed to climate risks, to help them secure their investments.

01

Analysis of exposure factors

Based on the site's geographical and climatic characteristics, our teams identify the climate hazards to which the project is exposed and establish long-term projections using recognized international models and benchmarks.

02

Assessment of project and operational impacts

The study assesses the potential impacts of identified climate risks on infrastructure, operational processes, and access to resources, over a 50 to 100-year horizon.

03

Definition of Mitigation and Adaptation Measures

Based on the evaluation results, ABV Development advises project owners on measures to integrate into the project design: infrastructure adaptation, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and optimization of operational resilience.

04

Integration into the Project Approach

Recommendations are integrated into the project development to ensure people's safety, preserve facilities, and guarantee the activity's sustainability in the face of future climate changes.
