Soils, Risks & QSE Management
Coordination and supervision of sanitation projects
ABV Development defines your remediation project and ensures its coordination and supervision, taking into account your operational and regulatory constraints.

Soil remediation encompasses a set of measures aimed at neutralizing the presence of pollutants in the soil or groundwater in order to prevent risks to human health or the environment.
Following a soil study in the Walloon Region, the discovery of hazardous traces of pollution may lead to the obligation to undertake a remediation project. As an accredited soil management firm with the Brussels, Walloon, and Flemish authorities, ABV Development is the ideal partner to design, implement, and monitor your site's remediation project.

Regulatory framework for soil remediation in Belgium
In the Walloon Region, the "Soil Decree" of March 1, 2018, concerning soil management and remediation, specifies all the measures to be followed. Soil management requirements are defined by regional regulations: each region (Wallonia, Brussels, Flanders) has its own framework.
The technical solutions employed must adhere to a principle of proportionality: the project takes into account the level of pollution, its impacts on the environment and human health, as well as the consequences of the remediation actions and works themselves. The project must justify the chosen solution and establish the expected results to obtain approval from the regional administration.
