University of Namur: a single permit for a campus looking to the future

ABV Development was recently mandated to support the University of Namur in a strategic step of its development: the renewal of its Class 1 Single Permit for all its activities in the heart of the city of Namur.
This large-scale project covers a vast perimeter, including campus buildings, teaching infrastructure, student services, and several major modernisation initiatives.
A comprehensive support for a strategic institutional project
In order to ensure regulatory compliance of its activities and anticipate the evolution of its infrastructure, the University of Namur entrusted ABV Development with the complete preparation of the application file for the Class 1 Single Permit, including the conduct of an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
Our missions focused on three major aspects:
- The renewal of the operating permit for all university activities (teaching, research, services, events...).
- The renovation of the Moretus Plantin University Library (BUMP), an iconic institution in student life in Namur.
- The creation of a new food offering, designed to meet the current needs of students and staff, with a sustainability focus.
A partnership built on trust and expertise
ABV Development is proud to have been chosen to support an institution as emblematic as the University of Namur. This project demonstrates our ability to:
- Manage complex files in dense urban environments
- Conduct multi-sectoral environmental impact assessments
- Integrate environmental, regulatory and heritage considerations
Thank you to the University of Namur for their trust!
