Mobility modelling

ABV Development carries out your mobility studies and analyses the impact of your projects on local traffic. But beyond numbers and statistics, ABV proposes to model your project's traffic flows using dedicated software!
Before explaining to you what road simulation brings, let's take a quick look at the mobility study.
ABV Development intervenes upstream of real estate and commercial (even industrial) projects for study and to integrate the “mobility” component (as well as accessibility and parking components) by using our expertise to serve our private or public customers. Our mobility studies make it possible to define, design and justify the projects carried out by our customers.
Why model impacts?
Road simulation is a decision support tool and complements the results obtained during the mobility study.
For example, models make it possible to visualize, at a crossroads or a roundabout, The length of queue lifts and the average waiting time of users.
Modeling also makes it possible to visualize the interactions between different traffic flows and thus highlight some potential traffic problems.
Concretely, how does it work?
The first step is to define, in our software, on a modelled map, the area of your project by integrating roads, red lights, stops etc. in order to make the modeling completely consistent with the reality on the ground. We then integrate the traffic data collected during the mobility study (in current and projected situations). Modeling with the aim of Simulate traffic and queues, only rush hour data is used.
The software then models the vehicles generated by your project and allows you to observe their behaviours at strategic or problem locations in terms of traffic (crossroads, roundabouts, etc.). An appropriate legend is applied to the modeling, visually marking the possible difficulties encountered (line ups, saturation of a crossroads, etc.).
This modeling results, where appropriate, in possible adjustments or modifications public or private space (geometry of roads, roundabouts, junctions, etc.).
The aim is to enable balanced and sustainable integration and adequacy of your project in a specific context of local mobility. Your project must succeed!
