AMUREBA audit

Wallonia recently introduced Carbon Conventions, succeeding the old Branch Agreements, to guide companies towards carbon neutrality by 2050. These agreements are voluntary commitments between companies and public authorities, aimed at improving energy efficiency, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing the share of renewable energies. Participating companies, often grouped into Carbon Communities according to geographic, sectoral or value chain criteria, benefit from specific support and certain financial advantages.
What is the AMUREBA methodology?
To establish a suitable action plan, companies must carry out a global input audit. This audit, in accordance with the methodology AMUREBA (fusion of the old AMURE and UREBA methodologies), offers a standardized framework for evaluating energy performance and identifying improvement measures. The audits AMUREBA are structured in several steps, from data collection to the development of a concrete action plan, and must be carried out by certified auditors. The energy audit AMUREBA for businesses are 75% subsidized by the Walloon region via the energy voucher system.
In this context, ABV Environment, a design office of the ABV Development group, specializes in the environment, security and land use planning sector. It supports companies in carrying out audits AMUREBA by providing them with technical and regulatory expertise adapted to their sector of activity.

New AMUREBA audit obligation for GREEN grants
Since January 1, 2025, specific aid for the protection of the environment and the use of energy in Wallonia, now called aid GREEN, have introduced new access conditions. For investments related to the sustainable use of energy (STUDY), carrying out an audit AMUREBA or a feasibility study is mandatory.
Grants and support
On this side, ABV Enterprise, a consulting firm in subsidies and tax incentives from the ABV Development group, is an expert in grant applications in the Walloon Region. He assists companies in identifying available assistance, preparing applications and administrative follow-up, thus optimizing the chances of obtaining financing for their energy and environmental projects.
In summary, Wallonia encourages businesses to engage in Carbon Conventions, to carry out audits according to the methodology AMUREBA, and to take advantage of available subsidies to facilitate their transition to carbon neutrality. Thanks to the combined expertise ofABV Environment and ABV Enterprise, companies can benefit from comprehensive support, from energy audits to obtaining the necessary financing.
