ABV Development launches 3DCIT-IS, its innovative research project

Thanks to funding provided by Innoviris.Brussels, via Explore, his research grant, ABV Development Start the research phase of your project 3DCIT-IS, a platform that will allow the analysis of all key scientific and technical components of any real estate project carried out in Brussels, whether industrial, commercial, private, residential or office...

Following this research phase, a development phase is still necessary before offering a new innovative service on the market.

3DCITIS is an innovative device driven by ABV Development, in collaboration with the CIRB (Computer Center for the Brussels Region — providing its expertise in 3D simulation and data management), the Earth and Life Institute research institute (ELI-ECO — with great expertise in socio-economic impact assessment and geographic information systems) at UCLouvain and the Faculty of Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Urban Planning (LOCI — with urban expertise) of UCLouvain.

IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE AND IN 3D!

This is the first time that all the information provided by the environmental, socio-economic and urban planning indicators available in Brussels from numerous institutions will thus be centralized. Thanks to 3DCIT-IS, you will be able to cross as many indicators as you want, at different geographical scales and different time horizons.

Moreover, and this is also a first, while all this data is generally studied in 2D, with 3DCIT-IS, you can immediately evaluate and visualize their impacts in 3D, for even more precision and better consideration of their constraints!

Several objectives are aimed at by this innovative service:

• Ensure a common support for discussion between the various partners involved in the creation of a new real estate project;
• Objectify and anticipate the constraints facing it;
• Bring a project to a successful conclusion more effectively

As a first step, 3DCIT-IS will take into account the Brussels-Capital Region, and, eventually, this revolutionary tool will apply to other major cities in Belgium and abroad.
